Not filling the vacancy will result in difficulty supporting missioncritical applications related to the health and well-being of the public. We will not be ableto accommodate requests of MDHHS for adding new/maintaining existing applicationsand services in a timely manner due to lack of availability for the existing resources.Job Responsibilities:• Coordinate and integrate system data models and design to promote datasharing, eliminate redundancy, and provide for the efficient and effective use ofthe state’s data resources.• Coordinate with and provide technical advice to the Project Manager to developproject plan.• Coordinate with data stewards to develop, communicate, and enforce DataClassification policies and standards.• Create and maintain the metadata repository. Including developing andmaintaining a formal description of the data, data structures, and data flowdiagrams.• Create, maintain, and verify system level design.• Define and enforce data standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure dataintegrity, dependability, quality, and usability through the use of appropriatesecurity, verification, and data management practices.• Develop an Information Architecture Model supporting, and consistent with,Enterprise Information Management.• Develop and maintain the statewide data model for to ensure integrated useacross all applications.• Develop and manage configuration management standards, processes, andpolicies.• Document application controls needed to meet security standards.• Ensure data integration with internal organizations and with external businessand IT communities.• Evaluate and recommend software fixes to resolve problems.• Facilitate/lead team members for any application environment consolidation,migration, or integration efforts.• Gather, organize, and track requirements and issues related to IT solutions.• Lead in implementation, for IT solutions.• Make recommendations to the application developers on software integration forexisting software.• Perform development of a data management strategy, to ensure data securityand appropriate data retention.• Prepare for and provide an organized and professionally facilitated environmentfor SDT sessions.• Provide data modeling and design guidance including identification of dataentities, data dependencies and data relationships.• Recommend solutions based on TIA of proposed infrastructure changes toensure feasibility and cost effectiveness.• Review Enterprise Architecture Solution Patterns/Reference Models for specificagency application system. Analyze EA Solution Assessments cataloged in EASA Library for similar system design guidelines.• Revise and validate project management documents, by applying DTMB PMMand SEM to IT solutions.• Revise and validate technical designs, specifications, and diagrams.• Verify the architectural integrity of the application environment.Required Qualifications:• 5+ years of experience administering and supporting RHEL environments• 5+ years of experience working with Windows Server in enterprise environments• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with SQL, including querying and basicdatabase support• Experience designing and supporting native and hybrid cloud environmentsacross AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud• 5+ years of experience creating, updating, and maintaining system and technicaldocumentation• 3+ years of Network Administration experience, including basic troubleshootingand support• Experience architecting and supporting container orchestration platforms such asK8s and/or OpenShift• Ability to create and maintain architecture artifacts using tools like Visio,LucidChart, and/or Draw.io• Exposure to application architecture, including familiarity with application serverssuch as WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBoss• Experience designing redundant and scalable database deployments for Oracleand/or Microsoft SQL Server• Hands‑on experience securing network infrastructure, web applications, anddatabases• Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language such asC#, Java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps tools such as Ansible, Jenkins,SonarQube, Artifactory, or Veracode• Exposure to IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS deployment models and environments• Working knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation• Experience administering and architecting web server environments, includingIIS, Apache, and WAF• Experience with Cloudflare or similar platforms
