Project Manager - Industrial Process Piping

Their skill level allows them to be effective mentors to other Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.Essential Tasks for an Industrial Project Manager include:EstimatingEstimating industrial small projects for all three trades (Plumbing, Pipefitting, and Sheetmetal)Teaching and mentoring Assistant Project Managers in small project and change order estimatingProactively assist the Grunau Estimating team with completing larger industrial project estimatesManaging LaborForecasting labor hoursScheduling laborCommunicating and developing positive relationships with the Foremen and CrewSafetyPerform safety audits to ensure a safe work environmentCommunicate safety concerns with Foremen and CrewProactively plan for a safe job site from beginning of the project to the endSalesOwn the relationship with their customersActively seek and develop new business relationshipsLead and participate in proposal generation and presentationTechnical KnowledgeApply a deep knowledge of industrial mechanical systemsApply knowledge of ASME process piping codes and standards to deliver value for customersOperational ExcellenceDemonstrate leadership through continuous improvement of self and Grunau processesFollow Project Management Process MapDeliver projects that meet or exceed individual gross margin planMentor developing Assistant Project ManagersRequired EducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or Equivalent Experience in Pipe TradesRequired Demonstrated Experience5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical contracting specializing in industrial piping, manufacturing or related fieldDemonstrable success developing and maintaining customer relationshipsA thorough understanding of industrial construction practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activitiesExperience directing/guiding others using effective management and communication techniques to maximize field employee performanceExperience preparing estimates in process piping projectsSolid skillset using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to gain proficiency in new software systemsPAY RANGE: Pay dependent upon level of experience and education.
