Lead Mechanical Engineer – AI / Hyperscale Data CentersI’m partnering with a rapidly scaling AI infrastructure company that is building next-generation hyperscale data center campuses across the US.We’re looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to define and lead the mechanical cooling strategy for some of the largest AI compute infrastructure projects in the industry.Locations: TX | NY | CARole: Full-timeCompensation: $300K–$350K base + equity (DOE)Travel: ~20–30%This is an owner/developer-side role where you’ll have the opportunity to shape mechanical systems from chip-to-chiller — supporting high-density AI/HPC deployments at unprecedented scale.Key focus areas:Hyperscale / AI data center cooling strategyChilled water plants, heat rejection, and thermal managementDirect liquid cooling & high-density GPU environmentsMechanical standards, Basis of Design, and master specificationsModular / prefabricated mechanical systemsLeading design delivery across multiple sitesManaging consultants, vendors, and engineering teamsIdeal background:10+ years mechanical engineering experience in data centers or mission-critical environmentsStrong hyperscale / HPC cooling experienceExperience with MEP design delivery and owner-side engineeringKnowledge of ASHRAE TC 9.9, liquid cooling, and critical infrastructure standardsExperience leading teams and driving technical strategyFor more information please contact:ellen.harradine@clear-er.com
