This role operates in a high‑stakes, innovation‑driven setting that is a key technical resource, supporting the mission‑critical Windows platforms that underpin semiconductor manufacturing operations.Position Summary:The Junior Windows System Engineer will join a collaborative IT team to assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows‑based servers across physical and virtual environments. This entry‑level role focuses on learning best practices for system reliability, security, and documentation while providing tier‑1 support for day‑to‑day operations.Provide system administration technical support for the Windows server systems in a multi-platform environment (On Premise, Physical and Virtual, VMware, Citrix, Horizon)Provide technical support on current Supporting versions of Windows servers, system analyst support and configurationWrite and run PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks under guidanceProvide consulting and technical advice and problem resolution for development of application programs and system interfacesContinuously document and share system information with fellow associates as configuration, program or technical changes are made or occurSupport urgent case (including non-office hour and weekend)Requirements2+  years of hands‑on work with Windows Server (2012 R2-2022) in a lab or production environmentBasic PowerShell scripting (ability to modify existing scripts)Proficiency with Active DirectoryUnderstanding of Windows Update Services (WSUS)Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independentlyAbility to work well without supervision and collaborate with a team on various projectsExperience with Backup solutions (NetBackup, Legato and Avamar)BenefitsSamsung SDSA offers a competitive salary, and a comprehensive suite of programs to support our employees:Top-notch medical, dental, vision and prescription coverageWellness programParental leave401K match and savings planFlexible spending accountsLife insurancePaid HolidaysPaid Time offAdditional benefitsSamsung SDS America, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
