Performance Analytics Associate
A NYC-based investment firm is hiring a Performance Reporting & Analytics professional. The Role works closely with Portfolio Management, Investor Relations, and senior leadership. The Performance Reporting & Analytics group is responsible for the data behind fundraising materials, client special reporting, internal performance reporting across the funds, and liquidity modeling. The team partners with the investment team, IR, and senior executives to deliver accurate, timely analytics for both external clients and internal decision-makers.ResponsibilitiesStructure dimension and fact tables using star schema modelingBuild curated data sets and views to power investment dashboards using SQL, Python, and AlteryxLead data governance across the platform and monitor ACU usageDesign, execute, and document data quality controlsContribute to tech stack architecture for data flow and optimization in a cloud environmentManage strategy tagging, security master metadata, and position-level data in partnership with Fund Accounting, Investment Ops, Middle Office, and Portfolio ManagementWork in cloud-based platforms, including Snowflake and SigmaCalculate and interpret performance attribution, return forecasting, liquidity analysis, and hedging efficacyPrepare monthly Fund performance materials for C-suite reviewBuild investment and operational dashboards to scale recurring analyticsAct as subject matter expert on calculation methodology to ensure consistency across internal and external reportingSupport investor-level analytics and marketing effortsBuild reporting platforms in Power BI, Sigma, and ArcesiumQualifications4-7 years of relevant experienceUndergraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, or equivalentAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint. Financial modeling preferred. VBA, Macro, SQL, and Alteryx is a must.Strong understanding of private equity and hedge fund quantitative metricsKnowledge of investment products, financing and leverage, and complex fund structuresSelf-starter with the ability to drive transformation and see the bigger pictureStrong analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsComfortable working closely with senior management
