As we continue to expand, we are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Payroll Clerk to join our team and support our payroll operations.Position Summary:The Remote Payroll Clerk will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll systems, a solid understanding of payroll regulations, and excellent organizational skills.Key Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll in accordance with federal, state, and local regulationsCollect, verify, and input employee timekeeping data, deductions, commissions, and bonusesReview and audit payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerMaintain and update payroll records and employee information in the HRIS/payroll systemRespond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, wage calculations, and deductionsCollaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure consistent, compliant, and accurate data flowPrepare payroll-related reports for management and auditing purposesStay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations affecting the companyEnsure confidentiality and security of all payroll information and employee dataAssist with year-end processes, including W-2 and other tax-related filingsSupport additional administrative or payroll tasks as requiredQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferredMinimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a remote or distributed team environmentProficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong understanding of payroll principles, wage and hour laws, and tax regulationsExceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrityEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issuesPreferred Skills:Experience working with multi-state payrollsFamiliarity with HRIS systems and integration with payroll platformsPrior experience in a remote work environmentCompensation and Benefits:Competitive salary, commensurate with experienceFlexible remote work arrangementHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunities
