Service Sales Representative

We are a full-service distributor of Generac equipment and solutions providing sales, service and rentals.The ideal candidate for this role will be located in the Reno, NV area.The Service Sales Representative will be responsible for increasing aftermarket parts and service business within their assigned territory. Reporting to the Branch, Manager, this role will promote the company service and parts departments to increase sales in PM agreements, equipment repairs rental equipment, fuel tank remediation and generally promote Energy Systems as the primary source for aftermarket parts and service of power generation equipment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :Four-yearcollege degree or equivalent industrial sales experience is required.1 year cold call via phone and in person1 year customer facing sales role that includes negotiation, presentation, and conflict resolutionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:5+ yearscollege degree or equivalent industrial sales experience is required.Knowledge in remote monitoring solutions and connectivity or similarKnowledge of load banking, NFPA 110 requirements, and fuel polishingUtilization of a CRM tool, pulling reports, and analyzing dataEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop sales proposals of generator products for customers and professionally present proposals to plant engineers, maintenance personnel, purchasing agents, and/or company executivesDevelop Aftermarket program proposals for the generator service department for customers and professionally present proposals to plant engineers, maintenance personnel, purchasing agents, and/or company executivesResearch and evaluate customer application and necessary aftermarket partsto properly size and/or develop an aftermarket recommendation that meets the customer's needsEnsure the establishment of industry contacts and develop a list of potential customersFollow up on sales leads and make cold callsMaintain updated understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and government regulations that effect target marketsProactively act to close sales and finalizecontractsMeet established sales quotas and revenue goalsResolve customer's problems with product and/or servicesFollow up on product deliveriesMonitor and work within established expense allowanceGenerate detailed scope of supply (PMU) and provide to Application Engineer or Service Manager for processingUpdate and maintain Quote LogsMaintain Sales Itinerary Report (Weekly)Maintain Sales Calls Report (Monthly)Other Duties as assigned and the followingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Well-developed sales and presentation skillsComputer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelStrong knowledge of Power Generation equipmentBasic mechanical and technical aptitude including geometric and other mathematical formulasExcellent oral and written communication skillsProven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customersBasic marketing knowledgeMust be able to handle high pressure situations and adapt well to changes in the marketLEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE :This position acts under the direction of the branch manager.Compensation:Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary for this role is $77,200 - $115,800. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
