With a focus on quality and reliability, Peak Manufacturing continues to support key industries essential to transportation and logistics.Position Summary:The Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of automotive products, components, and manufacturing solutions. This position works closely with customers, production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure products meet customer specifications, quality standards, cost targets, and manufacturing requirements. Position Description:Design and develop automotive components, assemblies, tooling, and related products using SolidWorks software.Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and technical documentation.Support prototype development, testing, validation, and production launch activities.Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to improve product performance, manufacturability, and efficiency.Review customer requirements and ensure compliance with applicable automotive standards and specifications.Troubleshoot design, production, and quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.Participate in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and other automotive quality and launch activities.Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities related to customer complaints, internal defects, and audit findings.Maintain compliance with company safety policies and quality standards.Job Requirements:Minimum of 2–5 years of engineering experience in automotive or manufacturing environments preferred.Experience using CAD software and maintaining engineering documentation.Experience in GD&TKnowledge of automotive quality systems and core tools, including IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans.Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Education Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
