Role Title: Middleware System Administrator/DevOps Engineer Location- RemoteDuration: Full-time with ApexonRequired Skills: Middleware & Web Servers Strong expertise in: JBoss EAP 78.x Apache SOLR Experience with: JBoss standalone and domain mode administration JBoss clustering and failover mod_jk and mod_cluster configurations Application deployment using GUI & CLI o Datasource, MQ, JVM, and server configuration management Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced COTS Tools System/Administrator to manage, administer, monitor, and support enterprise middleware platforms built on JBoss EAP.The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in JBoss administration, deployment automation, CI/CD integration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, clustering, patching, and operational support across enterprise environments.The role requires collaboration with infrastructure, application, security, and DevOps teams to ensure high availability, scalability, operational stability, and continuous improvement of middleware platforms.Expected Deliverable(s) Platform Installation & Configuration Provision, install, configure, monitor, and administer JBoss EAP environments across development, QA, staging, and production.Configure and support JBoss clustering and failover for high availability in both standalone and domain modes.Configure, administer, and troubleshoot integrations with other application components and enterprise systems.Ensure reliable routing, session handling, resiliency, and failover across web and application tiers.Configure and manage Atlassian ALM and CI/CD integrations with JBoss for automated application deployment.Configure and troubleshoot mod_jk and mod_cluster integrations with JBoss Web Servers.Deployment & Release Operations Manage deployment workflows in Atlassian Bitbucket, including branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, release tagging, and access control.Configure and support Atlassian Bamboo CI/CD pipelines, including automated builds, deployments, artifact management, test execution, and environment promotions.Package and deploy enterprise applications (WAR/EAR) to JBoss EAP using GUI and CLI tools.Execute deployments in standalone and domain mode configurations, including rolling deployments to server groups for high availability.Perform post-deployment validation activities, including:Smoke testingLog analysisHealth checksPerformance and availability verificationDevelop and maintain rollback procedures, deployment runbooks, operational checklists, and release documentation.Participate in change management, deployment reviews, and post-release stabilization activities.
