Solar Installer Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Solar Installer Electrician to join our team, specializing in the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems. This role requires a combination of electrical expertise, construction experience, and safety knowledge to ensure efficient and compliant solar panel installations on various commercial and residential sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction site experience, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to work on innovative renewable energy projects while contributing to sustainable solutions. Duties Install, connect, and commission solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops and ground-mounted sites, adhering to NEC standards. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation of electrical components. Perform high voltage and low voltage wiring, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. Install fixtures, conduit, wiring, and other electrical components using hand tools and power tools. Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to verify proper operation of solar energy systems. Assist with roofing activities related to solar panel mounting when necessary. Operate construction equipment such as forklifts safely on-site during installation processes. Coordinate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and adhere to all safety regulations throughout each project. Skills Proven experience working as a commercial electrician with knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems. Strong understanding of NEC codes, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fixture installation techniques. Experience with roofing, plumbing (as it relates to electrical systems), and construction site operations. Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow technical instructions precisely. Knowledge of electrical experience specific to renewable energy or solar installations is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and the use of equipment such as forklifts is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
