This position will also be responsible for drilling rub rails, federates, door pins, door panels, stone guards, rear kick plates, training of employees, along with helping other departmental employees, adhering to production schedule while maintaining a quality product.This position requires frequent interaction with a variety of significant internal and external customers and is an active member of the Life Line Emergency Vehicle Team.Key ResponsibilitiesMust have mechanical background to include power and/or air toolsMust have ability to run or learn to run plasma cutter, shear, notched, saws, drills and pressesMust be able to solve problems and make decisionsMust be able to read and interpret blueprints and work ordersAbility to inspect finished products during manufacturingMust be able to apply quality assurance techniquesMust meet or exceed cost reduction goalsMust have ability to understand manufacturing methods and techniquesKnowledgeable of Life Line product and materials needed for productionWork closely with Engineering staffMust possess ability to meet deadlinesWork with and assist production personnelWork closely with parts department on items neededMust have excellent organizational skills with attention to detailMust have good mathematical skillsGood communication skillsMust adhere to all safety policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications High school diploma or technical training in related field or equivalent experienceSelf-starter with good work disciplineExcellent communication skillsExcellent organizational skills with attention to detailTeam playerResults orientatedMotivatedDesire to obtain additional personal developmental trainingPreferred Experience Previous mechanical experience and Life Line product knowledge a plusWork Environment Manufacturing and fabrication shop environmentExposure to welding fumes, sparks, noise, and heavy componentsPPE requiredPhysical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift, move and carryAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusAbility to use your senses of sight, touch, sound and smellContingencies of Employment Successful completion of a pre-employed drug screen and physical examinationSuccessful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, if applicable to the positionEqual Opportunity EmployerLife Line is an equal opportunity employer.
