Marine Key Account Manager

The Marine Key Account Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding overall sales objectives while ensuring a high level of customer service when promoting TPC products and strategic initiatives.ResponsibilitiesWork with direct manager on opportunities to drive growth and support key business strategies.Propose and drive new product portfolio, processes and capabilities to drive revenue growth.Effectively communicate the features and benefits of TPC products within an industrial environment directly to end user customersExecute winning product demonstrations to existing and new contacts in customer organization to drive expansion of SKU count and development of buying center within accountUpsell value-added and customized solutions to increase profitable revenue and differentiate TPC Wire & Cable versus the competitionDevelop a key account plan to maximize face time with customers and drive new sales within an assigned account(s)Expand market share in defined scope of account(s)Forecast future revenue, business development opportunities and market trends within assigned account(s)Understand market developments related to technologies, business trends, competitor activity, etc. and communicate to management team and cross-functional colleaguesFormulation and execution of key account strategy (short-/mid-/long term) including an ambitious annual revenue plan and long-term target planRegular updates of the Key account strategic plan, 5-year strategic business plan and annual forecast/executionProviding strategic plan presentations to TPC and customer executives.Responsibility for key account revenue targets (top line and profit goals) as well as overall customer satisfactionProviding clear direction and leadership to cross functional TPC team(s) regarding key account strategy, team member responsibilities and expectationsDriving execution of key priorities and customer sales projects / opportunitiesTranslating customer’s strategy and priorities into a joint innovation roadmap and building a product development pipelineDeveloping influential network on all key levels and dimensions with a focus on strategic relationship development planning to drive growthAccount & Market Intelligence: Be the account expert keeping management informed on account trends, market trends the account is at the heart of and competitive activities with associated mitigation plans developed working with respective functions across TPCQualificationsRequired5+ years outside sales experience, preferably in an industrial setting, and key account managementProven track record of meeting and exceeding sales objectivesStrong communication, organizational and time management skillsAbility to sell value (total cost of ownership) vs priceMust be able to work remoteAbility to embrace changeExperience in marketing and strategy is beneficialHighly systematic and conceptual thinking skillsStrong skills leading cross functional project teamsPreferredPrevious experience managing a geographic sales territoryBachelor’s degree in business, industrial distribution, engineering/technology or related degreePrevious industrial wire & cable sales experience is a plusTPC Wire & Cable Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
