Housekeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented housekeeper to support a private residence in Putnam Valley for 8 hours per week, scheduled as 2 shifts at 4 hours each. The home requires someone who is organized, punctual, energetic, and takes pride in high-quality work. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, enjoys keeping spaces orderly, and communicates well in English. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized home environment with close attention to detail. Focus on maintaining finishings and surfaces such as wood floors, windows, kitchen countertops, and appliances. Manage light laundry, folding, organizing clothing, and putting items away neatly. Change bedding and maintain bedrooms with fresh linens and a polished presentation. Deep clean bathroom spaces without harsh odors or abrasive chemicals when possible. Keep common areas visually appealing with minimal clutter. Notice and address small details without always being asked such as smudges, fingerprints, streaks, or areas often overlooked. Support occasional organizational tasks depending on household needs. Schedule and Compensation 2 days per week, 4 hours per day. Must be reliable and consistent with scheduling. Requirements Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Good work ethic, integrity, and a calm, pleasant demeanor. Comfortable working independently without micromanagement. English speaking. Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license for transportation to and from the residence. Experience working in private homes is preferred. Experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality housekeeping roles; hotel or industrial cleaning experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation. Familiarity with custodial procedures and industrial cleaning standards. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness. Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
