If you share these values, like to take pride in your work and have the drive to continue to learn and grow at our growing company, this position may be for you!DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for assembling and welding together metal components on the production line to produce skid steer attachments according to blueprintsWelds or tack welds metal parts together using electric or gas welding equipmentConnects hoses from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas, and turns valves to release mixtureManually guides gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddleWelds components in flat, vertical, horizonal and overhead positionsPositions and secures workpiece using forklift or hand tools such as clamps or jigsWelds small and large componentsMaintains and repairs all machineryExamines weld for bead size and other specificationsChips off excess weld and spatterExamines workpiece for defects and measures workpiece with straight edge or template to ensure conformance with specificationsFollows strict safety regulations and uses personal protective equipment such as heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and steel toed bootsMonitors machinery for appropriate usage and temperatureSurpasses customer expectations using skill and attention to detailCompletes lock out/tag out procedures as required by OSHAALL EMPLOYEESMaintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with co-workers and managementContinue to grow and learn new skills and knowledge; continue to identify personal areas of improvement in a positive manner to achieve personal goalsComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasComplete required trainings as necessaryQUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSUnderstanding of fabrication operations, weld procedures, processes and fixturing requiredExcellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment and manual toolsAbility to read fabrication blueprints/engineering drawingsA valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredOutstanding attention to detailWORKING CONDITIONSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and high temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to handle or feel materials, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds manually. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
