Located in West Plains, MOMore Information About This Job:Revenue Cycle Medical Billing - Appeal Follow-Up Specialist Location: Remote or On-Site, United StatesHourly Pay: $18This position is bonus eligibleFull-Time 40 hrs/wkWork Schedule: Training Mo–Fr, 8am-5pm, Post-Training Flex Mo-Fr 7am-7pm CentralJOB SUMMARYThe Revenue Cycle Medical Billing - Appeal Follow-Up Specialist will follow-up on appeal status with traditional Medicaid and Medicaid MCO payors in a timely manner to achieve maximum reimbursement on zero and underpaid claims.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIESConduct online and phone follow-up on pending appeal responses.Process all payor responses received from submitted appeals.Handle inbound/outbound call center calls for payors and patients/guarantors.QUALIFICATIONSRequired Experience:Must be fluent in EnglishMinimum three (3) years’ experience in medical billing and healthcare revenue cycle environmentAbove average knowledge of Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care billing guidelinesAbility to read and decipher an explanation of benefits and/or remittance advice noticeMinimum of one (1) year working in a call center environmentAbility to work independently or as an active member of a teamMust possess empathic and professional written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate levelPreferred Experience:A minimum of one (1) year working in a customer service rolePreferred Education: High school diplomaGEDOr significant, relevant work experienceWhy Choose Air Evac Lifeteam?
