Founded in 2014, PSG Equity has since raised over $30 billion in capital and operates out of offices in Boston, Kansas City, London, Paris, Madrid and Tel-Aviv.Applicants must be authorized to work for an employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for this position.Position OverviewThe role of Analyst/Associate on the Valuation and Strategic Analysis (VSA) team provides an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to see all facets of the private equity industry. As a member of the VSA team, one of your primary responsibilities will be to assist with the quarterly valuation of PSG’s portfolio companies, in accordance with ASC 820. You will also work with all other teams within the company, assisting with various projects. Some of these projects include portfolio monitoring, fund performance analysis, ad hoc LP requests, fundraising, and benchmarking.The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $125,000 annually. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional qualifications.ResponsibilitiesAssisting with valuation analysis on a wide range of public and private entities within various industries using accepted and relevant approaches and theoryPreparing valuation-related materials for financial reporting and fundraising purposesPerforming in-depth industry and market researchWorking in conjunction with deal teams to gather financial information data pertinent to the portfolio companiesResponding to investor and due diligence requestsCreating ad hoc reports for various departments throughout the firmAssisting in preparing and presenting the results of each analysis in a clear and concise manner.Ideal Experience And CompetenciesBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or EconomicsCFA, MBA or other advanced degree preferred1 – 3 years’ experience, preferably in a valuation roleStrong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with OPM / contingent claims analyses is a plusAbility to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage changing assignments in a team environmentStrong Excel skillsExperience coordinating with various teams in investment management is a plus (e.g., tax, accounting, compliance, etc.)Benefits And PerksAt PSG, we are committed to providing excellent benefits that show our deep appreciation for the hard work of our team.
