Description The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care in the clinic and related administrative duties.This is a part-time (0.625) position working the below schedule out of Burnsville, Edina, and Eagan locations.Monday: Approximately 12:00pm - 5:00pm, Weeks 1-3-5Tuesday: Approximately 7:00am - 5:00pm, Weeks 2-3-4-5Thursday: Approximately 7:30am - 5:00pm, Every weekFriday: Approximately 7:30am - 12:00pm, one Friday a month*This is not a summer position or seasonal role.*Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.Essential Functions:Prepare, stock, and clean exam roomRoom patients and prepare for examMaintain an efficient, organized clinical flowGather and verify pertinent patient information; compile patient medical dataAssist with documentation of patient data into electronic health records systemPrep for injections, change dressings, apply durable medical equipment, and remove sutures/staples under provider directionApplication and removal of castsEnsure coding requirements are followed during entry of patient informationAct as a prescribing delegate to enter medical orders (i.e. medications, laboratory services, imaging studies and other auxiliary services into the computerized provider order entry (CPOE) into patient electronic records under the direct supervision of the providerAble to support multiple specialtiesMay also assist with any of the following:Assist Care Coordinator with patient care servicesAssist with medical supply inventory and orderingScreen patient calls and respond to patient in a timely manner. Document all phone messages in the patient's electronic chartAny and all other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Requirements:High School diploma/GED or equivalent requiredCertified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Athletic Trainer (AT-C), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); or equivalent experience strongly preferredUnderstanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology requiredKnowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferredBenefits & Compensation:Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.A $1,500 sign-on bonus will be offered for select roles, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment.
