Bilingual Social Worker/Case Manager (Russian/English speaking) - Holocaust Survivor FSU Program

Position Summary: Provide casework services and advocate for clients in the Holocaust Survivor Program.Principal ResponsibilitiesKnowledge, Skills And RequirementsConduct intakes, provide accurate information and referrals.Screen and assist clients with applications and re-certifications for entitlements and benefitsAssess clients in their home, hospital or other institutional setting as appropriateAdvocate on behalf of clients and arrange for provision of services; develop implement and follow up on care plansProvide supportive counseling to clients as neededMaintain ongoing communication with client, family members and other collaterals as appropriateMaintain complete and accurate case notes utilizing the program’s data system; prepare required documentation in case file within organizational time framesMaintain and report on statistics according to Selfhelp standards, utilizing the program’s data system and other forms of record keeping as needed.Actively participate in supervision and staff meetings and share any emergent issues with supervisor in a timely mannerFacilitate and assist at social, recreational and other group activities and eventsSupervise social work students (if applicable)Adhere to organization’s standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including – but not limited to – Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regards to regulatory compliance or good business practices.Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance and health and safety standards Salary Range : $54,000 - $66,400 per year commensurate with experience. Job Competencies & Minimum QualificationsKnowledge, Skills And RequirementsBachelors required; MSW preferredBilingual in Russian Speaking RequiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other technologyExcellent communication and listening skillsExcellent customer service skills with a focus on treating clients with respect and dignityAble to multi-task and work independently with a great attention to detailWorking Conditions/Physical DemandKnowledge, Skills And RequirementsBusiness office environment with phone and computer use, travel via public transportation. This position may have the ability to work from home 2-3 times per week.
