Analytical Chemist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytical Chemist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting a range of analytical tests and experiments to ensure the quality and safety of our products. This role requires a deep understanding of analytical chemistry principles and techniques, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Duties:
- Perform a variety of analytical tests, including spectroscopy, chromatography, and wet chemistry, to analyze the composition and purity of products and materials.
- Conduct microbiological tests to detect and identify microorganisms that could affect the quality and safety of our products.
- Develop and implement new analytical methods and procedures to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our testing processes.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, including gas chromatographs and spectrophotometers, to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures, results, and data.
- Collaborate with other laboratory personnel to ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and FDA regulations.
- Participate in method validation and verification to ensure that all analytical methods are accurate, precise, and reliable.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our products and materials to ensure that analytical methods are relevant and effective.
- Troubleshoot and resolve analytical problems and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques.
Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field is required, and a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in a laboratory setting.
- Experience with spectroscopy, chromatography, and wet chemistry techniques.
- Familiarity with GLP and FDA regulations and guidelines.
- Experience with laboratory equipment, including gas chromatographs and spectrophotometers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,674.00 - $62,800.00 per year
