General Manager 3PL OperationsA rapidly growing full-service third-party logistics (3PL) provider with multiple facilities in Southern California (Inland Empire) is seeking an experienced operational leader to take full ownership of its warehouse and distribution network. Operating over 400,000 square feet of modern warehouse space and handling every aspect of procurement and fulfillment including drayage, warehousing, receiving, shipping, e-commerce fulfillment, dedicated CSRs, inventory management, EDI integration, transportation management, and FBA prep, this company is scaling quickly. With several existing sites and a new flagship facility under construction, we need a seasoned professional who can lead day-to-day operations while positioning the organization for continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage multiple distribution facilities, including a large flagship site and other regional locationsMaintain a strong floor presence, ensuring processes are optimized, KPIs are met, and operational efficiency is maximizedImplement and refine best practices for 3PL operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and transportationDevelop and monitor key performance indicators to manage labor, equipment, and overhead costs within industry normsLead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and automation to enhance throughput and accuracyWork closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic operational plans aligned with growth objectivesLead and mentor department heads (Warehouse, IT, Customer Service), fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and performance excellenceEnsure compliance with safety and HR standards across all facilitiesMaintain strong, proactive communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholdersSupport customer service in resolving client concernsProvide regular KPI, metric, and performance reports to the CEOIdentify trends and implement solutions to drive profitabilityCoordinate with IT and systems leadership to integrate technology advancements into daily operationsTravel regularly between facilities, including occasional overnight staysQualifications Minimum of 5 years in senior operational leadership (GM, COO, Ops Director, or equivalent) within a large-scale 3PL or distribution environment Proven success managing P&L and improving profitability Experience managing multiple facilities totaling at least several hundred thousand square feet Strong background in operational scaling, technology and automation implementation, and cost control Highly tech-savvy with the ability to evaluate, implement, and oversee warehouse management systems and automation solutions Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and hold teams accountable Willingness to be on-site daily; this is not a remote or hybrid position Ability to travel frequently between facilities Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in supply-chain management, logistics, or equivalent work experienceWhy This RoleThis is an opportunity to step into the top operational leadership role of a fast-growing 3PL with the resources and runway to shape the company's future.
