Our success is built on disciplined operations, reliable equipment, and a team that takes pride in doing things the right way.We operate a fleet of heavy construction equipment and place strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, safety, and minimizing downtime in the field.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic with direct hands-on experience working on heavy construction machinery used in construction operations.This position requires proven experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment such as:DozersExcavatorsWheel LoadersBackhoesSkid SteersRollers / CompactorsWater TrucksOther heavy construction equipment used in earthwork and site developmentThis role is intended for mechanics with heavy construction equipment experience. Automotive-only or light-duty mechanic experience does not meet the requirements unless combined with direct heavy equipment repair experience.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment to support daily field operations.Responsibilities include:Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain issuesPerforming preventative maintenance and inspectionsRepairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, cylinders, pumps, valves, and electrical componentsIdentifying problems before failure occursCompleting repairs efficiently to reduce downtimePerforming both shop and field service work when neededCommunicating equipment status clearly with supervisorsMaintaining a clean and safe work environmentDocumenting completed repairs and parts needsQualificationsMinimum 3 years of direct experience as a heavy equipment mechanic working on construction equipmentStrong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnosticsAbility to work independently and troubleshoot equipment efficientlyValid driver's license requiredBasic hand tools required (specialty tools provided by company)Preferred ExperienceThe following experience is strongly preferred:Field service repair experienceDiagnostic software familiarityBilingual English / SpanishExperience working on brands such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Case Construction Equipment, or Volvo Construction EquipmentCompensation & GrowthNTC offers competitive pay based on experience, steady year-round work, and long-term growth opportunities within the company. xpxfdfd We value mechanics who take pride in their work, understand the importance of equipment uptime, and can perform reliably in a construction environment.
