Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Material Handler for our client. This job involves safely operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material-handling equipment to move, load, and supply production lines efficiently. You’ll scan materials, complete accurate documentation, and ensure proper stock rotation using the First In, First Out (FIFO) system.
What’s a Typical Day Like
Safely operate tow motor, forklift, clamp truck forklift, straight forklift, label lift, or floor jack in both warehouse and production areas
Scan materials and data entry when required
Supply production lines in a timely manner
Run scrap reports and consolidate label supplies as needed
Assure Stock Rotation (First In, First Out) system is followed
Visually inspect raw materials for damage, contamination, or discoloration
Collect resin samples from rail cars and bulk trucks
Complete assigned paperwork correctly and accurately
Adhere to all Business Operating Standards (BOS) and SAP standards and activities
Document incoming shipments and movements as required
Comply with all safety policies and procedures
Maintain housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards
Attend all required training sessions and weekly team meetings
Communicate effectively and appropriately with Production, Quality, and
Group Leaders
Other jobs as assigned by supervisor
What Are the Requirements of the Job
18 years old
Previous experience in a distribution center environment helpful.
Be a team player with an ability to work well with others
Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time, up to the whole shift
Ability to move and/or lift up to 75 lbs. on a continuous basis for 100% of working hours
Ability to frequently lift cartons above (up to 8 feet overhead) or below shoulder level
Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and/or stoop on a repetitive basis
Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity, including grasping and holding
Maintain flexibility regarding job assignments, including working overtime as needed
Pass a background check and drug test
