Mid-Level Network AdministratorLocation: Onsite in Secaucus, NJDuration: Contract-to-Hire Position SummaryThe Mid-Level Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing the organization’s network infrastructure. This role supports daily network operations, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and security across both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies and a strong foundation in network security and systems support. Key ResponsibilitiesManage, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systemsMonitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and implement patches, upgrades, and enhancementsConfigure and support LAN/WAN environments, VPNs, and core network services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active DirectoryLead hands-on network deployments, implementations, and configuration changesMaintain accurate network documentation, topology diagrams, and change management recordsImplement and enforce network security policies; respond to security incidents as neededSupport security platforms and tools including Forcepoint, Secure Access, Globalscape, and CrowdStrikeProvide support for Windows Server and desktop environmentsSupport Microsoft 365 and cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex technical issuesParticipate in on-call rotation, including off-hours and weekend support as required Required Skills & Experience3–5+ years of hands-on network administration experienceStrong understanding of routing and switching protocols (VLANs, OSPF, BGP)Experience with Cisco networking equipment and firewall technologiesSolid knowledge of network security principles and toolsExperience supporting hybrid cloud environmentsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExcellent documentation and communication abilities
