Master Mechanic
Job Description
We are looking for a Master Automotive Mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible for repairing various vehicles systems.Responsibilities:Repair automobiles, trucks, buses, and other motor vehiclesSpecialize in vehicle Powertrain componentsPerform routine vehicle maintenanceUse diagnostic tools to test vehicle componentsPerform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customerEssential FunctionsPerforms vehicle inspections, troubleshooting and testing to determine required or recommended repairsAccurately diagnose malfunctions and perform the necessary repairs for them including but not limited to repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components as requiredExamines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommendedVerifies vehicle serviceability and ensure quality repairs the first time by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems as requiredEnsures that customer vehicles kept clean during repair processContains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options for repairs as requiredCommunicates with service advisor and/or dispatcher if additional work is neededAids service writer as needed to write work orders, conduct test rides, interact with the customer, or in any other way necessary to guarantee customer satisfactionKeeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt of parts and suppliesMaintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organizedDocuments all work performed and recommended on the repair order in accordance with operating proceduresUnderstands the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technology changesFollows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards; Employees are required to record the beginning and ending times of any shift, break or departure from work for personal reasonsFollows the Code of Business Ethics and ConductUnderstands and follow all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from SupervisorsUpholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreementsMaintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policyAttends pertinent training on requestAttends company meetings as requiredOther duties as assignedJob Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 - Negotiable per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftExperience:Automotive Mechanics: 10 years (Preferred)Qualifications:ASE Certification (Automotive service Excellence)Previous experience as a mechanicKnowledge of shop equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsDeadline and detail-orientedAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentCompany DescriptionWe are a team of Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Computer Engineers from Michigan Automotive Industry that moved to California to enjoy the all year round sunshine.
