Occupational Therapist School Setting - Mora, NM

A contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based therapy services in Mora, NM. This role serves a diverse student population ranging in age from 3 to 21 years old, supporting approximately 41 students across several elementary, middle, and high schools.Key Responsibilities:Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to individual student needsCollaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student participation in educational activitiesMaintain accurate documentation and treatment plans consistent with school policiesAttend team meetings and contribute to student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)Qualifications / Desired Experience:Valid OT or COTA licensure or certification with experience in school settingsUnderstanding of school-based therapy regulations and IEP processesAbility to manage a caseload of approximately 41 students with diverse needsStrong communication and teamwork skillsWork Schedule & Location:Approximately 21 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 28 hoursDaily hours generally begin at 8:00 AM or as scheduled and end by 3:00 PM or upon completion of servicesContract start date: ASAPContract end date: Mid-June with potential Extended School Year (ESY) needsServices provided across multiple sites including local elementary, middle, and high schools
