Software Developer Position OverviewOur Automotive client is seeking a Software Developer! This role is onsite 4 days/week in Torrance, remote 1 day/week, 40 hours/week, ongoing.You will support in building meaningful digital experiences and strengthening customer experience. You'll support all digital applications including design, development, production support, and solutioning. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend Java applications using open-source frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Data JPA Build and support core AWS offerings including Lambda, SQS, S3, EC2, MQ, MSK, SNS, and Event Bridge Work within Micro Services and backend development environments, leveraging serverless and event-driven architectures Develop and maintain containerized applications using EKS, Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline Apply cloud security best practices including IAM roles, encryption at rest and in transit, and OAuth2/JWT Contribute to Agile development practices and methodology across the teamQualifications5 to 8+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend Java Deep hands-on experience with core AWS offerings Strong understanding of JVM internals, concurrency, and functional programming including Lambda expressions and Streams API -Proficiency in NoSQL databases (DynamoDB or similar) and relational databases (RDS, PostgreSQL, etc.) BS or MS degree in a related fieldIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
