Accounting Advisory Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. This role is well-suited for someone coming from public accounting (audit or tax) who enjoys client-facing work, or someone who has transitioned into an industry controller or accounting leadership role and is looking to return to a more advisory, multi-client environment with better work/life balance and less traditional busy season structure.You’ll be responsible for overseeing accounting and financial reporting for multiple clients, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact on day-to-day accounting and close-related matters.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee monthly close processes across multiple client entitiesReview financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations for accuracy and completenessPerform variance analysis and provide clear, client-ready financial commentaryOversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding itemsManage accounts payable processes, payment workflows, and vendor-related activitySupport cash management and basic treasury functions, including monitoring cash flow and payment timingServe as a primary accounting contact for clients and handle escalated issuesAssist with client onboarding, process documentation, and accounting system transitionsCoordinate with external auditors and other third parties as neededIdeal BackgroundPublic accounting experience in audit, tax, or CAS, or prior industry experience in a controller or accounting manager roleStrong understanding of monthly close, financial reporting, and general accounting processesExperience working directly with clients, operators, or internal leadership teamsCPA or CPA-track a plus, but not requiredWhat This Role OffersReduced busy season intensity compared to traditional public accountingStrong client-facing and advisory exposureOpportunity to work across multiple clients and industriesClear long-term growth potential within a growing CAS practice
