Special Education Teacher
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students who have diverse learning needs and will play a crucial role in providing tailored educational support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support student progress
- Incorporate learning technology and speech therapy strategies into lessons
- Create engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles
- Provide literacy education and support to enhance reading and writing skills
- Utilize specialized knowledge in areas such as deaf education or childcare as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a classroom setting
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and learning technology
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
- Knowledge of speech therapy practices is advantageous
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students
- Certification in special education or relevant field is required
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
