Integration & Coordination Manager Job Description
The Integration & Coordination (I&C) Unit provides project coordination, support, and management of cross-functional initiatives led by the Office of Data, Analytics, and Performance (DAP). The unit ensures project goals are successfully fulfilled by collaborating with diverse expert groups and aligning team efforts while delivering exceptional customer support.
Under the direction of the I&C Director, the I&C Manager provides strategic direction, management, and guidance to an I&C team. The I&C Manager also serves as a project lead and stakeholder advocate for DAP by planning, developing, and managing highly complex, highly visible federally and state-directed initiatives, ensuring their alignment to the needs of DAP and HHS.
Essential Job Functions
Team Management (20%) : Establishes goals and objectives; makes assignments; provides guidance; develops, reviews, and approves work products. Oversees staff in program engagement for HHS performance and data initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination (20%) : Develops, implements, and manages a formalized structure for HHS system-wide collaboration on data, analytics, and performance initiatives. Offers liaison services to other agencies and organizes executive level meetings.
Project Oversight (20%) : Performs advanced project assessment and approval functions, including research, analysis, planning, and risk identification. Develops proposals to support performance and analytics activities.
Project Management (20%) : Manages projects using appropriate methodologies, creates project tools, prepares high quality written reports, and monitors project progress and quality.
Management Administration (20%) : Directs, supervises, and manages staff in accordance with state law and HHSC policy. Handles recruitment, performance evaluations, merit-based recognition, and disciplinary actions.

Initial Screening Criteria
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, plus five years of full-time work experience in the health and human services or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience in developing reports for executive audiences, analyzing complex information, managing large-scale, complex projects or initiatives, managing change or process improvement. HHS policy or program experience, evaluating business processes, and developing policies to promote efficiency and accountability are preferred. Prior management experience strongly preferred.
