AAPG serves major Tier 1 OEMs in the automotiveindustry, enabling cutting-edge technologies in electric vehicles, autonomous systems, and smart mobility.Role OverviewThe Field Application Engineer (FAE) acts as the technical partner to the businessdevelopment director, opening the market and serving as the liaison between AAPGmanufacturing operations and its customers. This role supports the sales cycle fromconcept to production, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into innovativeand manufacturable interconnect solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical lead within the sales team, supporting all engineering aspects of the customer engagement lifecycle, in tandem with the group business development director’s commercial engagement.Collaborate with customers to understand application requirements and propose tailored interconnect solutions.Provide design-in support, prototyping guidance, and troubleshooting assistance.Develop and deliver technical presentations and documentation.Interface with internal teams of the AAPG operations including product development, marketing, and manufacturing.Support new product introductions (NPI) and contribute to product differentiation strategies.Travel up to 30% domestically, with occasional international travel. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Automotive Systems, Mechatronic, Mechanical or ElectricalEngineering or a related technical field.Minimum 2+ years of experience in design or applications engineering, preferably in automotive or interconnect solutions.Strong understanding of automotive standards and protocols (e.g., USCAR, ISO, DataCommunication (Ethernet IEEE, Coax)).Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks).Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer projects.Preferred QualificationsExperience with E-Mobility (high-voltage and ruggedized connectors, EV battery, vehicle charging).Familiarity vehicle communication system, ADAS, or infotainment systems.Master’s degree or additional certifications in automotive electronics or systems engineering.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary (typically $90,000–$140,000/year depending on location an experience).Bonus and incentive programs.Health, dental, vision insurance.401(k) with matching.Paid time off and holidays.Company vehicle or travel reimbursement (where applicable)?
