Manufacturing Associate (1st Shift)This role focuses on building conveyor bearings for a variety of markets using both hand and power tools. You will assemble products from small parts and components, verify accuracy and quality, and prepare finished goods for shipment. The position is well-suited for someone who is mechanically inclined, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a manufacturing or production environment. Apply Today!ResponsibilitiesBuild conveyor bearings by hand using various hand and power tools according to established procedures and specifications.Verify that all parts and components used in each assembly are correct and meet required standards.Label finished products accurately and prepare them for shipment, including any necessary packaging steps.Assist with machine operation duties as needed to support production demands.Work with very small parts and components while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.Use measuring tools, including reading a tape measure, to confirm dimensions and ensure assemblies meet quality requirements.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.Perform repetitive production and assembly tasks consistently while maintaining productivity and quality.Collaborate with team members and also work independently to meet production goals and deadlines.Essential SkillsAt least one year of experience working in a manufacturing or production setting.Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery and production equipment.Ability to work accurately with very small parts and components.Ability to read and use a tape measure to verify dimensions.Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met for every product.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.Comfort performing repetitive tasks for the duration of the shift.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Comfort working in both seated and standing positions as required by the job.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious production or manufacturing experience of at least one year is preferred.Material Handling experience - forklift, tow motor, and pallet jack is a plus.Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.Comfort working with older equipment and machines.Willingness to follow established processes and continuously maintain a clean and organized work area.Why Work Here?You will join a small, close-knit team where your contributions are visible and valued, and where a clear tiered position progression outlines potential career growth. Overtime is very rare, offering a stable and predictable schedule. You will work in a small facility with about 15 employees on the production floor, using older equipment and machines in a nonclimate-controlled environment. The position involves both seated and standing work, handling small parts, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Uniforms are provided for daily wear on the production floor.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
