Diesel Technician

Title: Diesel Technician / OEM Vehicle Validation & Issue Troubleshooting Specialist #1006152Location: Columbus IN 47201 and San Antonio, TXDuration: 12 months ContractSalary: $45 – 50/hr on W2Onsite, M-F, 8-5Primary Functions:*Vehicle Support: Development powertrain system support and troubleshooting including hardware, software, controls and electronic systems level troubleshootingIssue troubleshooting and resolution: Following troubleshooting trees independently where troubleshooting trees are available or using engineering judgement to diagnose issues, working with technicians to carry out investigation & resolution, tracking issues with clear documentation of outcomes and communicating plans and outcomes with engineers, techs and customers.*Validation support: Utilize Calterm and other engineering tools to download ECM software and calibrations (in collaboration with support from Columbus team), participate and support Vehicle Validation activities - collecting data, overriding engine conditions, addressing and documenting issues with regards to validation.*Communication and documentation: utilize both existing documentation paths for issue tracking and create new communications or documentation methods based on scope of work.The ideal candidate will have:*Experience troubleshooting on vehicles.
