The Goat — Salem is hiring Servers and Bartenders to join our team as we prepare for a high-volume, fast-paced summer and fall season. We are looking for energetic, dependable hospitality professionals who can deliver excellent service while staying organized and focused in a busy restaurant and bar environment.
Previous restaurant, serving, or bartending experience is preferred. Candidates with experience using the Micros POS system are especially encouraged to apply. We are also open to motivated individuals who are eager to learn—we will provide training and help you build the skills needed for success.
We are hiring Servers, Bartenders, and Waitstaff for:
- The Goat - Salem
What You’ll Do:
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS system
- Prepare and serve beverages responsibly and according to restaurant standards
- Brunch ( week end only), lunch, dinner and late night serving/bartending
- Make menu and drink recommendations and answer guest questions
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while maintaining accuracy and presentation standards
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency during busy service periods
- Monitor tables and bar guests, anticipate needs, and follow up throughout the visit
- Process payments accurately and handle guest requests professionally
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked service areas, tables, and bar areas
- Communicate effectively with hosts, servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and managers
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, alcohol-service, and company policies
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous restaurant, serving, or bartending experience preferred
- Experience using Micros POS preferred
- A positive, outgoing attitude and genuine interest in hospitality
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- A sense of urgency and the ability to stay composed in a fast-paced environment
- Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability for a combination of evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must meet all applicable requirements for responsible alcohol service
