Senior Product Manager/ Owner

About the Role Onyx is a robust, multi-module annuity administrative platform used by multiple companies within the company. It’s built on a modern tech stack and successfully launched 3.5 years ago. We're looking for a Product Manager who will work with a tight-knit team of engineering, product, operations, marketing, and other business stakeholders to grow the experience for the administrative platform. You’ll focus on evolving the platform to meet consumers' needs which involves the full product life-cycle from ideation to development to launch. You’ll be a key contributor to own one of the organization’s highest-priorities – expansion of Onyx’s capabilities. Success in this role requires a healthy balance of deep customer empathy, product vision, and execution excellence. What You’ll Do Own and lead team features, integrating with the larger product feature capabilities (external-facing and internal-facing apps), and its success metrics considering user needs, core platform readiness and capabilities, and resource availability Define and evangelize the product roadmaps, aligning on the outcomes in tandem with other product leaders in the Gainbridge org -- thereby enabling our teams to define and execute the features, tasks, and outcomes that consistently deliver value to our customers Establish, implement, and monitor best practices and rigor in our Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) that optimizes for impact on our business, velocity, and throughput Document requirements, user stories, and other artifacts that serve as critical inputs to the development process and be extremely detail-oriented and thorough throughout the process Lead the team to deliver the roadmap through agile sprint cycles, breaking down the product roadmap into executable stories and requirements Define success metrics and consistently measure the impact of the team’s work and the product outcomes Lead and facilitate cross-functional alignment, strong relationships, and a feeling of inclusiveness in the PDLC with leaders from Engineering, Design, Operations, and other impacted teams Work directly with key stakeholders, constantly gathering inputs, requirements, and insights that feed into future product development and integration What We Are Looking For 5+ Years of experience in Product Management in a consumer software company Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and instruction A strong background in product management and a passion for building delightful consumer product experiences Deep customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution  We are a fast-growing and evolving team, things are going to happen. Demonstrate a proven track record of managing the end-to-end product lifecycle Ability to define and translate a vision into detailed and actionable plans Strong understanding of agile product development, delivery, and tools Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Data-driven mindset and a measurable approach to problem-solving Relentlessly resourceful, ruthless prioritizer, intellectually curious, efficient executor, and biased towards action
