Inspector - Rooms
ResponsibilitiesBuild guest and team member positive relationsParticipates and conducts departmental meetings.Ensure consistent high-quality service to all our team members and guests. Inspects guest rooms, hallways and public areas immediately correcting any deficiencies.Inspects and evaluates workers performance to ensure quality service and compliance with room housekeeping specifications and ensuring all departures are completed by check in.Assists housekeeping supervisor with opening the house and other office duties.Ensures each staff members are following all safety precautions.Trains workers in proper operational procedures and functions.Resolves customer complaints regarding worker performance and services rendered.Inspects work areas and operating equipment to ensure conformance to established standards.Cleans and shampoos all carpets on assigned floors.Supervises and does performance appraisals on all assigned employees.Assists housekeeping supervisor with screening and interviewing of applicants.Performs the tasks of a guest room attendant, turndown attendant or house person as needed to facilitate serviceOther duties as assigned.Compensation$17.00 per hourPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentThis position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures.Occasional exposure to outdoor climatesOccasional: standing, walking, lifting up to 50 poundsFrequent: sitting, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, and with repetitive movement of fingers, legs, arms, and handsSpeech and Vision abilities are required. QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.Two (2) years of housekeeping experience including one (1) year supervisory experience.Must be able to speak Basic English.
