It’s a great time to join Velcro Companies!Work Shift:Second Shift - Somersworth (United States of America)Work Shift Time:3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through FridayJob Objective:Tactical coordination, alignment, and leadership of operational resources toward daily successful accomplishment of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and materials utilization action plans and objectives, as is vertically integrated with strategy deployment objectivesEssential Job Functions:Supervise all production operations on an assigned shift within the facility including machinery, assembly, or material handling operations to achieve desired quality and operational output.Monitoring daily schedule utilizing manufacturing and process controlsOrganizing daily assignments and direct personnel to achieve productivity goalsEnsuring quality system compliance, timely MRB dispositionWork closely with Department Managers and/or Supervisors to achieve goals for each department in the organization.Responsible for employee supervision, training, development and performance management. Drives Safety, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, 5S initiatives.Organizational behavior interactions, conducting performance reviews and setting development plansMonitoring and implementing safety programsTeam building, mentoring Lead Hand (s) and production employeesFact/data driven decision making on operational challengesUtilizing MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Oracle and ADPAbility to run production equipment as needed to ensure 100% on time deliveryProvide operational support to the Operations Manager, Value Streams Manager, Production Associates, and support resources throughout the Value Streams as is requiredOther duties and responsibilities may be required for the performance of this positionJob Qualifications: BS degree and/or applicable vocational experienceMinimum 5 years supervisory / leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentComputer skills required: MSOffice, Oracle, SPC programs, etc.Effective communication and written skills.Demonstrated knowledge of Strategy Deployment and LEAN principles.Ability to be flexible in assigned tasks, duties, schedules, locations, and travelDemonstrated ability to motivate, train and develop skill-set for manufacturing supervision, manufacturing technical resources, and manufacturing production associatesOUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY AND EMPLOYEE WELL-BEINGFostering a culture where people thrive—safely, purposefully, and with opportunity.
