Software Engineer

SimiGon is seeking a highly motivated Software Developer to play a key role and join our team focused on developing effective training solutions. The position is remote and reporting to our office in Orlando, Florida. The qualified applicant will have a strong interest in gaming/simulation and be responsible for the development of training and simulation software. This will include design, development, coding, and unit testing of software modules which comprise a training system. Effort may include development of hardware interfaces, databases, and game controller interfaces. Software will be developed in C++ on Windows Platform. Applicants will integrate COTS/GOTS software applications into SimiGon products. Roles And Responsibilities: Develop Software For A Wide Range Of Simulation Content Types Aircraft Simulation Vehicle Simulation Marine / Ship Simulation Lead 3-5 Member Project Development Teams Test And Fix Bugs Balance And Prioritize Multiple Projects To Meet Goals, Deliverables And Deadlines. Learn SIMbox SDK And Tools. Teach Others How To Use The SDK And Tools. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, applicants must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: Bachelor’s Degree In Computer Science Or Related Technical Field And Minimum Of 4-5 Years Of Related Professional Experience. Minimum 4-5 Years Of Development Experience Within The Microsoft Development Platform Fluent C++ Development Skills And Experience Developing In Windows Environment Requires Direct Practical Experience With Development/Coding In C++ For Windows Operating Systems. The Candidate Must Have General Understanding Of Software Development Processes To Include Object-Oriented Development. Experience With SCRUM Methodology Travel Will Be Required U.S. Citizenship Required. Current US Government Security Clearance Desired; At A Minimum Must Be Eligible To Receive A US Government Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: Experience With Design Patterns STL And XML HLA/DIS Integration Experience Experience With C# – An Advantage Individuals Who Enjoy Gaming And / Or Are Experienced In The Gaming Industry.
