Operator

The Amlon Longview facility, as an RCRA Part B Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF), specializes in recycling services for businesses generating liquid waste and metal-containing industrial solid waste, including hazardous materials. *Requirements* * Monitor and operate plant equipment - including start-ups and shut-downs, TDU machinery. * Ability to operate light equipment. * Trouble shoot operational problems * Perform minor maintenance on equipment and/or work with Maintenance personnel on major repairs * Understand and follow written or verbal instructions and procedures * Use computers to: Access procedures and other information, Access and complete required training, Input/retrieve data * Follow all safety, environmental, and company rules and policies * Wear personal protective equipment as required (may include: safety glasses, fire retardant coveralls, safety boots, hard hats, face shields, etc.) * Perform housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain plant and equipment in a neat, orderly condition * Be dependable (report to work when scheduled, be on time for work) * Be available for overtime. Rotating shift work- 14- 12 hour shifts, Off 7. * Show initiative (make good use of time and resources) * Work in a team environment *Physical requirements* * Working indoors and outdoors (in all weather conditions), * Standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders * Working at heights * Working in confined spaces (as needed) * Working 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights) * Lifting and moving loads of various weights *Training Requirements (after reporting to work):* * Maintain current status on all procedural and safety training * Equipment operation as process changes are made *Required Qualifications:* * Industrial experience is preferred. * High School Diploma/GED The statements in this job description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
