Schedule:This is an in person position: Swing Shift, Fri - Tues, 3:45PM - 12:15AM -or- Wed - Sat, 3:45PM - 12:15AM & Sun 7:30AM - 4:00PM
Wage Range:$20.00 - $24.00, with additional differential pay if working Swing Shift ($1.60) or Graveyard Shift ($2.60), non-exempt

Position Summary:
NARA has an immediate need for Residential Assistants. The Residential Assistant (RA) is responsible for attending to all client-related needs during the scheduled work shift. This includes monitoring clients and completing all relevant documentation and making appropriate referrals.
The job openings are at our Adult Residential Treatment Center in NW Portland.
What you will do:
Provide client support as required.
Facilitate client medication call, maintain all medication sheets, and document proper distribution of medications.
Notify counselors of clients progress or problems.
Maintain client confidentiality in conformance with the program guidelines and federal law.
Keep daily log of pertinent events.
Make appropriate referrals.
Maintain facility in a clean, orderly fashion while on duty.
Do regular sweeps of facility, poison checks, client checks, and ground checks.
Follow orientation procedures for all new admissions or re-admissions.
Supervise clients weekly cleaning duties.
Assist with answering phones.
Orientate new clients to treatment environment review client handbook with client.
Assist with new admissions such as preparing room assigned to and bed linens, preparing admission pack for clients (towels, bed linens and blankets, t-shirt and pants), personal belongings search and heat treatment, completing the personal possessions inventory list.
Attend staff meeting as assigned.
Maintain client confidentiality in conformance with the program guidelines and federal law.

Understanding of 12-step philosophy.
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Reliable transportation.
Current drivers license.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Current CPR certification.
