As one of the largest suppliers in the cosmetics industry, we are a leading force in the research, development, and production of beauty products, shaping the future of the industry with every season.Position SummaryThe QC Junior Analytical Chemist is responsible for supporting daily laboratory operations and quality-related activities within the Quality Control (QC) Analytical Laboratory in Congers, NY. This role ensures that raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products meet established specifications to support Quality, Production, and Research & Development (R&D) functions.Essential FunctionsPerform routine laboratory testing and analysis to support QC, Production, and R&D activitiesPrepare samples and reagents required for analytical testingTest in-process materials to verify physical characteristics meet specifications during manufacturingAnalyze finished products for preservative and active content to ensure compliance with specificationsConduct testing of raw materials (RM) and review accompanying documentation for complianceDocument and release raw materials for production useTest stability samples and communicate any out-of-specification (OOS) results to supervisionReview OOS results with Chemist and/or Supervisor and assist in determining next stepsApprove and release batches that meet all quality specificationsComplete non-conformance reports for out-of-specification or non-compliant productsMaintain accurate, clear, and compliant laboratory documentationEnsure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), GoodDocumentation Practices (GDP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environmentAssist in investigations, method validations, method transfers, and special projectsPerform client-specific analytical methods as requiredSupport the Supervisor in implementing quality initiatives and directivesJob QualificationsBachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Chemistry or a related scientific field required.0–5 years of experience in a cosmetics or related industry preferred.
