Math Tutor/Instructor

Job DescriptionWe are looking to hire an experienced Math Instructor to be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to enhance students' mathematical proficiency. Your expertise will be vital in creating engaging and innovative mathematics curricula, promoting problem-solving skills, and supporting students' academic growth. Math subjects include but are not limited to: Elementary and Middle School Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, AP Calculus AB/BC, and AP Statistics. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Math Instructor to make a positive impact on our students and their learning goals. This is a Flexible, Part-Time opportunity.JOB DUTIES:Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive lesson plansDemonstrate adaptability in teaching both one-on-one and in small group settings.Assess students’ progress through regular evaluations, including tests, assignments, and participation and provide constructive feedback to the studentsCommunicate regularly with Masterprep Admin and Staff on student progressPrepare students for the AP Calculus or AP Stats examProvide homework help as neededQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Math or any related field (required) Master's degree in Math or related field from an accredited college or university (preferred) 1 year experience as a Math instructor or tutor (required) Successful track record of developing student’s knowledge in learning Math (required) Professional communication skills (both spoken and written)Competent in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Able to work independently and collaborate with a teamEnthusiastic about working with students and parentsAble to maintain strict confidentialityHighly organized and detail-oriented (attention to detail and accuracy are imperative)Ability to meet schedules and deadlinesGood judgment and decision-making abilitiesGood problem-solving skillsGood planning skillsHighly responsiveHighly proactiveHighly reliableIntegrityPossible shifts are between M-F 3pm - 8pm and Saturday 9am - 5pmJob Type: Part-time
