Job DescriptionGeneral RoleProvide technical support in the development and production of military soft goods such as upholstery, cushions and parachutes.Specific ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and development of aircraft and military vehicle seating upholstery and cushionsTrain Production department leads in the operation of these industrial sewing machines: Binding machine, Serger, Walking Foot, Double Needle, Class 7 and Zig ZagEstablish time standardsDevelop flat patterns and templates for soft goodsWork with quality to resolve production issues and ensure customer satisfactionAble to read and interpret engineering drawings as they pertain to sewingDevelop processes for cutting and bonding non-rigid polyurethane foamsProgram fabric cutters and sewing machinesRequired SkillsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills 10+ years’ sewing experienceMilitary standards for sewing materialsManufacturing using contact adhesivesProduction line setup and line balancing for workflow processingLaser cutting fabricsCNC fabric cuttersNesting software for soft goodsPreferred SkillsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Associates DegreeDemonstrated ability in Microsoft Excel to perform entry-level calculationsDemonstrated ability in AutoCAD to perform develop patterns and templatesExperience with LEAN Manufacturing PrinciplesCommitment to developing self and supporting the development of others Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $69089 - $110543Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
