Part Time Bus Driver--Private School

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe and efficient transportation services, ensuring the well-being of all passengers. This role primarily involves driving a 14-passenger bus in the mornings and afternoons, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Duties Safely operate a bus, ensuring timely transportation for students. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning. Educate passengers on safety protocols and assist them as needed during boarding and disembarking. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior. Follow designated routes while being flexible to adjust as necessary based on traffic conditions or passenger needs. Provide assistance to children during transit Document any incidents or issues that arise during the route and report them to management. Occasional availability to drive for field trips Experience Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred, particularly with school bus driving or paratransit services. Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are advantageous for interacting with diverse passenger groups. Experience working with children is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be able to drive from 7:45-9:45 am and 2:45 - 4:45 pm. We are also open to two candidates, one for morning and one for afternoon.
