The company is committed to investing in its employees to provide efficient and reliable service.Role Description The HR Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of the company’s employee benefits and total rewards programs. This role ensures accurate and timely benefits processing, supports employees with benefit-related inquiries, and partners with HR, Finance, and external vendors to deliver a high-quality benefits experience.Key Responsibilities Administer day-to-day employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.Manage open enrollment, including system setup, employee communication, and vendor coordinationEnsure compliance with applicable laws including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADACoordinate and track leave of absence programs (FMLA, STD/LTD)Serve as primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolutionMaintain and audit benefits data in Paycor (HRIS) for accuracy and complianceReconcile benefits invoices and partner with Finance on billing discrepanciesManage relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administratorsAssist in benefits communication, education, and employee engagement initiativesSupport reporting and analysis related to benefits utilization, costs, and trendsQualifications 3–5+ years of experience in benefits administration or total rewardsWorking knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADA complianceExperience managing open enrollment and benefits vendorsProficiency in HRIS systems (Paycor preferred) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlinesExcellent communication skills with ability to support employees at all levelsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related fieldSHRM-CP, PHR, or CEBS certification
