Job DescriptionCMM Programmer - Coon Rapids, MN:Position Title: CMM Programmer - Day Shift.Education and Experience: Fluent in Calypso programming with knowledge of PCM, curve and free form programming. Location: Coon Rapids, MN. Job Type: Full-Time. Remote: No. On-site in Coon Rapids, MN. Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10 hours & Friday 5.5 hours. Salary: Based on experience: $34-$42/hourly, plus benefits. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 401K and PTO. Relocation: Not offered. Sponsorship: Not available.Position Summary:This position is responsible for the development of CMM & VCMM programs. Work with the Quality/Mfg. Engineering and Operations closely to ensure components meet customer specifications. Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining all related processes and tasks around CMM and VCMM programming.Key Responsibilities:Generates programs via on and offline programming methodologiesMaintains program changes (updates, improvements and rework)Creates inspection work instructions for the Automated Inspection equipment (CMM/VCMM)Responsible for programming, setup, and conducting CMM validations along with various other precision testing equipment, Vision Systems (VCMM), and Gages.Analyze data and provide feedback during qualification processSupport/troubleshoot programs in productionAssist in the development of fixture concepts and participate in gage and fixture development.Trains employees in the proper use of automated inspection equipment and documentationInterprets SPC resultsPerforms basic maintenance of inspection equipmentImplement and analyze artifact checks for various precision testing equipmentTrain Quality and Production Associates as needed to run CMM/VCMM programs.Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and quality personnel as needed on technical issuesOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Advanced knowledge of inspection equipment and maintenanceAdvanced level blueprint reading skillsAdvanced knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Fluent in Calypso programming with knowledge of PCM, curve and free form programming.Technical writing skillsHaving the ability to create new work and training instructionsCompetent with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), Minitab, QC Calc, and ERP systemsGood problem solving with attention to detail, and decision-making skillsAbility to perform visual inspections using microscopesAbility to quickly shift priorities to support changes in workloadOrganizing / managing multiple requirements and deadlinesAbility to provide input and participate in department meetingsAbility to cross train when requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)6 years of experience in quality assurance working with precision tooling2-year Technical College / Machine Trades / Quality Training is preferredCompensation and Benefits Overview:Starting Pay Range for this position is $34-$42/Hour. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with applicable county or city regulations if they exceed the listed range.
