Web Designer / Front End Website DeveloperSummaryThe Web Designer will work with the Marketing and IT departments to create dynamic brand-building websites that engage and attract customers. This position requires a combination of programming skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/REACT and PHP). Must have experience with responsive and adaptive design. Also, an understanding of DevOps Best Practices.ResponsibilitiesDevelop Wordpress web applications/pages using current CSS3, PHP and HTML5 standards.Translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional, responsive websites.Optimize websites for performance, speed, and SEO best practices.Collaborate with the design team to ensure consistency between design and implementation.Test and debug websites across multiple browsers and devices to ensure cross-platform compatibility.Possess expert knowledge and capabilities of creating WordPress custom themes and plugins..Required SkillsBe a motivated, self-starter, passionate about delivering perfect websites in a fast-paced environment.Experience building complex, responsive, high-traffic websites with WordPress and custom PHP.Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.Be able to code WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.Ability to communicate and work constructively with team members.Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities within strict time constraints.Extreme attention to detail.Portfolio with a range of samples that demonstrate relevant work or projects.Strong front end skills including solid experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/REACT & jQuery.Understanding of W3C standards and general design principles.Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS)Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.Knowledge of primary SEO elements.Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques.Understanding of best practices for user experience.
