Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Maintenance Technician III works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the company’s policies, goals, and objectives.Position Responsibilities - EssentialCNC expertise requiredDemonstrates a safety-first mindset approach during execution of dutiesPerforms both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment from basic hydraulic and mechanical equipment to complex PLC-controlled machineryPerforms preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipmentEffectively troubleshoots failures and works in a team environment to determine root cause of failureParticipates in plant shift meetings and continuous improvement activitiesUtilizes CMMS system to manage work orders, create and review work history, and manage parts useConducts predictive maintenance inspections using predictive technologies such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic, oil analysis, and thermographyReplaces and repairs parts; rebuilds equipment; and aligns gears, shafts, pulleys, and beltsEnsure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activitiesBased on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a “safety-sensitive” position. Position Responsibilities - Non-Essential/OtherDevelops, prepares, and presents recommendations and reports as requestedOther duties and special projects as assignedEssential Skills And ExperienceCNC expertise requiredHigh School diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent8+ years of experience in industrial maintenancePLC test equipment experience including troubleshooting, repairs, PMs, and other world-class maintenance measuresExperience conducting predictive maintenance inspections using predictive technologies such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic, oil analysis, and thermographyExperience replacing and repairing parts; rebuilding equipment; and aligning gears, shafts, pulleys, and beltsExperienced, preferably by formal training, in principles and standards for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment operationsStrong mathematical skills to include basic algebra for calculation of electrical/electronic equations as applicableExperience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety cultureAbility to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)Excellent safety recordExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenHighly motivated, disciplined problem-solver/ troubleshooterStrong ethics and ability to work in team environmentAbility to work in a fast paced, high volume environment with strong attention to detailAbility to work in a manufacturing environment or distribution center environmentAbility to work exposed to seasonal temperatures that may be extreme at times, including excessive heat or coldAbility to provide mechanical and technical guidance and expertise to level 1 and level 2 technicians to continually improve the education, experience, and skill set within the department (teach/coach/mentor)Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety cultureAbility to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)Beneficial Skills And ExperiencePost-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is preferred Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts Company DescriptionWe are a customer-focused, integrated maintenance company operating projects throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
