We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, self-driven individual to join our growing team.ResponsibilitiesLocal deliveriesTransport materials to and from specified destinationsPrepares receipts for load pickupMaintenance of truck logs and proof of deliveryLoading and unloading truck materials when neededPerform proper Pre/Post trip inspections.Inspect trucks to ensure working conditions of brakes, lights, wipers, windshield, fire extinguisher, triangles, and other safety equipment in the truck.Adhere to all traffic laws, rules, and safety requirementsBasic small maintenance of truckEnsure that cargo is well securedMaintain record of goods and freight loaded and unloadedReport any equipment in the truck in need of repair, inoperable or missingInspect freight and vehicle for compliance with regulationsMaintain a log of activities, condition of the vehicle and any cases of accidentsProperty use electronic logs dailyPossible warehouse duties after runs are completedRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsMust have a valid Class A CDL license. 3+ years prior driving experience for a commercial companyDOT CertificationAble to drive manualExperience in securing loads and operating flatbed trucks and trailersBasic mechanical knowledge to handle minor maintenance and repairsKnowledge of State and Federal transport regulationsPresents self in professional manner and have ability to interact with all levels of organization and outside contactsBe able to walk, sit, stand, climb, kneel, or crawl occasionallyBe able to frequently lift or move up to 25lbsBe able to strap and load materials onto truck bedKnowledge of PVF is a plus Work SettingCharlotte, North CarolinaMonday - Friday, day shiftOT on some Saturdays, 8 AM - 12 PMNo nights, holidays, or SundaysBenefitsPTO, paid holidays, birthday off with pay and jump startsGM and Ford vehicle discountMedical, company pays 75% of premium along with a free medical wrapFree telemedicine with medical enrollmentDentalVisionLife Insurance and AD&DCritical Illness and Accident insuranceShort and Long Term Disability401K program with a 25% match with no cap!Our CultureWith over 25 locations in multiple states, each branch has created a culture within our company that stems from cooperation, teamwork and of course the notion that we are BUILT TO SAY YES, not only to our customers but to you as well.We often gather for company provided lunches, sponsor lunch and learn sessions to share our knowledge, and hold customer appreciation BBQs.
