Maintains a high level of animal husbandry through proper opening, daily, and closing procedures by following checklists and procedures.Maintains a high level of customer service and sales in the Fish Department through the use of the Petland Mission, 5-Step Sale and 4-Basic Needs sheets.Maintains a high standard of appearance and professionalism.Ensures that fish and reptile health is monitored, and proper records are maintained.Maintains a high level of presentation by properly decorating and maintaining the tanks.Conducts regular fish and reptile inventories and maintains accurate related documentation.Purchases and prices fish as needed using internal tools and resources.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.REQUIRED SKILLS:Attention to DetailMotivatedTeamworkCommunicationSelling SkillsCustomer ServiceREQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:Prefer six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experiencePoint-Of-Sale (POS) systems experience a plusSales or customer service experience requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Standing – Continually required to standWalking – Continually required to walkSitting – Occasionally required to sitTravelling – Occasionally required to travelFinger Dexterity - Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterityClimb, Bend, Balance, Stoop, Kneel or Crawl - Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawlTalking/Hearing - Continually required to talk or hearVisual Accuity - Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboardLifting/Pushing/Carrying – Occasionally required to lift more than 50 lbs. at a time with frequent lifting, pushing, or carrying of up to 25lbsEEO Statement: Petland is an equal opportunity employer.
