onsemi is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Process Diffusion Process Engineering group in Gresham, OR. An Engineer in this position will work with other Engineers and Technicians in a fast-paced Silicon wafer fab production and technology development environment. Primary technology nodes range from sub-0.18um to 0.5um. Group responsibilities include Yield Enhancement (both wafer level and die level), Technology Transfers, New Product Introduction, and other production sustaining/optimization activities. This position will advance your Semiconductor device knowledge across the entire Silicon manufacturing chain (from bare wafers to finished goods), with a significant focus on fab manufacturability. Communication skills will be important, since this position regularly interfaces with in-house Fab Process Engineering, Technology Development, Failure Analysis, Design/Layout, wafer probe/test, in-line defect control, Quality, and Business Unit part owners and managers.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a related degree
10+ years of direct wet clean work experience in the semiconductor industry preferred
Skills:
Direct experience with wet clean processes
Fundamental understanding of semiconductor device physics
Demonstrated ability to apply and practice SPC and DOE methodology
Demonstrated experience with continuous fab improvement in yield, throughput, and cost reduction, preferably in a lean manufacturing environment
Fundamental understanding of standard metrology, inspection, and failure analysis methods and their applications
Advanced data analysis skills. Ability to quickly learn and apply various software applications required
Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented attitude
Articulate written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated track record of being able to work well in a team environment, as well as the drive and desire to provide hands-on support for the site’s Operators, Technicians, and Engineers when needed
Understand all processes and procedures in the WET Cleans area
Participate in the planning and execution of experiments for new technologies and processes
Drive activities such as yield improvement, throughput optimization, and cost reduction
Perform advanced data analysis
Understand and apply SPC principles
Respond in an appropriate and timely manner to out-of-control process conditions
Manage the disposition of non-conforming material
Prioritize production support and other responsibilities
Generate written process instruction specifications
Communicate established processing procedures to Production Operators and Process Technicians
Contribute to factory environment responsibilities by supporting Operators, Technicians and Engineers
